The Best Baby Gift Ever
When you are getting ready to pop out your third girl, people are always frazzled about what gift to buy for the baby. Does one purchase more adorable girly outfits–the easy choice, as girl clothes, for anyone who has bought them, are irresistable–knowing full well that the family probably has enough clothes to outfit every child in a ten-mile radius for the rest of their lives? Or does one break down and purchase some silly toy that will only get sucked into the abyss known as the “playroom”? Or does the well-intended gift-giver just give up the fight and write out a check for the kid’s college fund?
Hmm. Choices, choices.
All of those are good options since the parents of three kids–no matter the gender–always appreciate help in any form, but our friend, Emily, found the coolest, most practical yet most adorable gift. Personalized stationery for our new family of five. How neato is that? Here I’ve tried to reinvent the avatars she picked out to represent our family: Jack the handyman; Heidii the wanna be Top Chef; Sadie the judo chick; Abbie, who, ironically is deathly afraid of balloons but begs for one every time we’re at Trader Joe’s and then cries until I pop it, let it float away, or give it to her big sister; and Evie, the new pink-clad addition. You can customize your own family’s caricatures at Expressionary and order all types of stationery to suit your needs and purposes.
Now, if I could just part with any of them in order to write those much-belated thank you notes.
